die thursday-(aka thirsty-)league endet mit einem triumph von bloss so, welche einen 3:7-rückstand in einen 8:7-sieg umwandelten.

die greenhorns konnten im spiel um platz 3 den fünften sieg in folge einfahren. nach einem fulminanten start der greenhorns holten slugnchug nach und nach auf, den greenhorns gelang es jedoch den vorsprung über die runden zu bringen.

für die greenhorns geht es im juli und august mit ein paar freundschaftsspielen weiter, im herbst kommt es eventuell zu einer teilnahme an der "fall league"

vertreter der thirsty-league-teams standen nach ende des turniers www.w4reddevils.com zu kurzen kommentaren bereit:
slugnchug, 4th place: "we did it!"
greenhorns, 3rd place: "wir hättn ins finale ghört!"
expats, 2nd place: "ein schlechtes inning... ein schlechtes inning..."
bloss so, 1st place: "zsaum, zsaum, zsaum, zsaum, zsaum - prooooooost!"

auch wenn nur zwei "reine" Greenhorns (Willi und ich) und 2 "gespaltene Persönlichkeiten" von Greenhorns/Wanderers (Mike und Branko) dabei waren - ein schönes Spiel mit vielen für mich neuen Gesichtern (und einigen Rookies) und ein weiterer Sieg für uns - 17 zu 14 oder so mit Homeruns von Jimmy und mir - danke für den schönen Abend und fürs organisieren an Mike!

na war doch echt super, genauso haben wir uns das ja vorgestellt. an einem schönen sommerabend nach der arbeit mit freunden ein paar nette stunden am baseballplatz verbringen. die gespaltene persönlichkeit nimmt noch größere ausmaße an, da ich gern nächste woche gegen (mit) unsere(r) 18. juli turniermannschaft spielen würde. näheres folgt in mailform.
